In May 2003 I embarked upon an epic journey that would take me through 26 countries, traveling partially through the old Silk Road in Iran, Pakistan and China. Voluntary Work
The Louisiana Himalaya Association (LHA) is a nonprofit social work organization dedicated to improving the lives of Tibetan refugees, and to making ancient Tibetan wisdom traditions available to the world. I worked as a volunteer teaching Tibetan refugees general IT skills.
Camp counsellor, looking after American teenagers, involved working with children 24 hours a day, looking after children in my charge, this necessitated authority and trust.

Work camp volunteer, working with Lebanese youth in the Beqaa Valley and Tripoli, studying and reflecting on Christian and Muslim relations as a means of living together through role-plays and workshops.
Participant in an international work camp working with Palestinians at Birzeit University, near Ramallah on the West Bank. The camp was an opportunity to experience the local situation at first hand and to contribute to improving the local conditions. We were also given the opportunity for a trip to Gaza to listen to a talk by arab journalists.
Worked as a kibbutz volunteer on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. A kibbutz community carrying out the true principles of a socialistic society, having all work, property and profit equally shared by its members.
